The Cat's An Asshole.

So much for not swearing, but there's no other way to describe her.

Last night SHE (asshole cat) decided to bat around a coffee mug that the husband had left on the table ... at 3am. I thought we were under seige (a coffee mug hitting the floor in the dead of night is LOUD). We flew downstairs to find her crouching down (oh, she knew) and the mug down for the count. It's like she knows that it takes me forever to get back to sleep.

This is the same cat who crawled up into the laundry room ceiling, over the wall, and fell through the basement bathroom ceiling - onto my brother while he was using the bathroom. Then did it again the next day.

She's lucky the children love her so much.

Have you ever had a love / tolerate relationship with a pet ? I am not a bad person, I swear ... I love animals, but I don't enjoy feline debauchery.

As if I needed another online time waster (I'm looking at you, Facebook).

I think Pinterest is the next manipulator of e-commerce. Everyday another friend of mine has joined the ranks of those us already pinning away our virtual wants - recipes we're going to make (or already have made), DIY ideas and of course, the material things. For me, that last one is the worst !! However, it should be noted that when I pin outfits I love, I'm pinning them for Jennifer Aniston's body, not mine. As a result I have quite the fabulous virtual closet. I'd like to be able to say that I'm really using it to shop, and that I intend to purchase one of the items I've seen - but that would be a lie. I think that people WILL do that, though. For now I'll just be pinning outfits for Jen and making recipes that will ensure I don't ever have a body like hers.
Oooh, Pinterest. You're kind of a bitch.

Are you on Pinterest? Have you bought anything you've seen on there, or just made the recipes like me ?

Sometimes, you just want a $^%@&% chocolate chip cookie.

I'm trying to swear less. Typing faux swears does not count.

Everyone knows there's nothing as wonderful as chocolate chip cookies straight out of the oven. This is my Mom's recipe. I have enjoyed these my wholllllle life. I enjoyed them far too much this afternoon, in fact.

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
* raisins or nuts optional, of course

Cream the sugars, butter, egg an vanilla. Add in the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda & salt. Stir in the chocolate chips. Form small (1 inch) balls and place on baking sheet covered in parchment paper. Bake at 350 for 9-10 minutes. Be ready to eat more than you should.
